It's promotion like a promotion and then cod, which is like the Tom Hanks of demersal fish

After eight years, PromotionCode.org, one of the original coupon sites has decided to shut its doors and re-brand as PromotionCod.org. "Promoting cod has always been something we had discussed internally", said Mike Catania, co-founder, and CTO. "With almost a decade of expertise, we're quite confident PromotionCod.org will improve upon cod's conventional use as a [fish] stick and acquire the entire vertical of fried shapes and fried non-shape-descriptors." The move is not altogether surprising; according to a Time Magazine article, Americans have been reducing their coupon usage by as much as 17%. Several reasons were cited but the overwhelming one was “I can’t find coupons for the products I want to buy.” This doesn't surprise Catania who offered, "We've been here the whole time with valid coupons but no one can remember our name. From TV spots to major publications, PromotionCode.org has simply been too unmemorable." Pressed if he thought the branding issue would carry over to PromotionCod.org, Catania chuckled, "Absolutely not. It's promotion like, you know, a promotion and then cod, which is like the Tom Hanks of demersal fish. Plus, the dot-org says, "Hey, this is an organization I can trust."
